Common questions
What measurements do you need for a new garage door?
The opening width and height, the headroom (clear space above the opening), the side room either side, and the backroom depth into the garage. We measure on site before ordering, but rough figures over the phone help narrow the options.
Is an insulated garage door worth it?
It depends on the garage. For an attached garage, a garage used as a workshop, or one with a room above it, insulation makes a noticeable difference to temperature and noise. For an unheated detached shop it usually is not worth the premium.
Can I keep my existing opener with a new door?
Often, if the opener is in good condition, correctly sized for the new door's weight and has current safety sensors. We check it while measuring and tell you whether it is worth keeping.
